CAMP
ROKILIO RECYCLING POLICIES
In
an effort to protect the environment, all of the
Bay-Lakes Council Camps practice recycling.
At Camp Rokilio, all recyclables will be separated and
handled in the following
manner, unless you take your garbage home with you:
|
PAPER AND CARDBOARD – Can be burned at troop campfires or flattened, bundled, and tied (no larger than 24" x 24")
|
GLASS – Rinse clean and avoid breaking. Put in container at the dining hall.
|
TIN CANS – Rinse clean, remove tops and bottoms, remove labels, and flatten. Put in container at the dining hall.
|
ALUMINUM CANS ONLY – Rinse and flatten (please rinse thoroughly to avoid insect problems). Put in container at the dining hall.
|
FOOD SCRAPS – And other garbage is bagged up and disposed of in the dumpster at the dining hall.
|
PLASTIC MILK JUGS – Only PETE #1, HDPE #2. Rinse and remove caps and place them in labeled container at the dining hall. Tie in bundles of 10. Plastic soda bottles, with their covers removed, go in a garbage barrel behind the dining hall. |
Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. The Bay-Lakes Council is doing
whatever possible to play a leading role in recycling and other environmental matters. Please be environmentally conscious. Thank you!
