            My name is Tom Cochran and I am the State Chairman for the Eagle Essay Contest for the Sons of the American Revolution Organization. As an organization we are very proud of our association with the Boy Scouts of America and to those ends we would like to invite each of the new Eagle Scouts to participate in the essay contest.  The rules for the contest can be found at www.sar.org and go to education/youth and then hit on Eagle and you will have the information you will need to enter the contest.  Should you have any questions my name and address appear on the flyer that is on your Bay Lakes Council web site.

           I would also like to send each new Eagle scout a certificate from the SAR and if your Scoutmaster will send me the names of new Eagle Scouts I will be more than happy to send a certificate to that Scout.
